What is the structure of iTEP Slate Plus?
iTEP SLATE comes in two forms. The most well-known version is iTEP SLATE-Plus which tests grammar, listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Additionally, we offer iTEP SLATE-Core which tests grammar, listening, and reading. Institutions should use SLATE-Plus for official admissions purposes. For internal assessments, on the other hand, either test is suitable.
How are iTEP English tests administered?
iTEP Slate-Plus can be administered at a certified iTEP Test Center, or online, via the iTEP Virtual Testing System.
How long does an iTEP Slate Plus test last?
The SLATE-Core takes 60 minutes, while the SLATE-Plus takes 90 minutes. This includes a 10 minute preparation period.
The primary function of iTEP is to assess the English language proficiency of students of English as a second language. The iTEP Academic exam is commonly used for:

English Proficiency Testing 24/7
Successful employers rely on employees and interns who display effective communication skills.
Schools often worry that test scores don’t predict real language ability. They also wonder if those scores will predict which applicants will be good students.
Our standards for security and academic reliability drive us to create the most accurate tool for English admissions testing.
